How to Increase CPS
Sustainable gains come from consistency and healthy mechanics — not grinding until your hand hurts. Use short sessions, compare scores on the same duration, and track trends over weeks.

What actually helps
- Posture and desk height — neutral wrist positions reduce fatigue so you can maintain rhythm.
- Micro-breaks — 60–120 seconds between hard attempts.
- Same test length — compare apples to apples (10s is a solid default).
Examples
Example 1: You average 6.2 CPS this week on 10s tests; next week you average 6.6 CPS with the same mouse — that is real progress.
Example 2: You spike to 11 CPS on 1s but drop to 7 CPS on 30s — that gap suggests endurance and relaxation drills matter more than burst-only practice.
